Dinosaurs, Growth and Change

Hopefully your child has finished today buzzing about our new topic: Dinosaurs, Growth and Change. We begin the unit with a focus on dinosaurs and then progress to learning about plants and mini-beasts, finishing with our trip to Strumpshaw Fen.

Please do send in any named prehistoric toys and books (dinosaurs, plants, habitats, mini-beasts, life-cycles) as we are sure the children will already have plenty along these lines!

We have decided to give our Friday ‘Show and Tell’ slots a focus this term. Items brought in should be loosely related to the theme for the week and could include anything from objects to facts researched or even mini projects.

Week 4: Mini-Beasts

We would also ask for any seeds, soil, pots etc. to be brought into school as we would like the children to explore as many varieties as possible and carry out different investigations.
