Year 1 went to the Sealife Center in Great Yarmouth. We looked at the upside-down jellyfish first. Did you know that you can eat edible jellyfish ice-cream and jellyfish beer? After that we had shrimps clean our fingers and we got to hold starfish and crabs. They told us that starfish have 2000 legs and if one falls off they grow them back. We even saw a chocolate-chip cookie starfish. When we went to the penguins, we saw a baby penguin and one of the penguins tried to kiss Bibi's finger. Then we went to see the black tipped sharks and there was a story about the huge glittering shelled turtles. We learned about sharks losing teeth and growing one back each time. The seahorses have curled tails so that they don't lose each other and they wrap their tails around seaweed so that they don't get lost with the tide. Instead of the Mummies laying eggs, the Daddies do! They turn into girls.

We had a lot of fun at the Sealife Center.
We were given log books and maps that showed us the way around. There were giant fish and we even saw vegetarian piranhas that eat bananas, grapes and vegetables. We saw a penguin trying to peck it's bottom. We met a giant eel called Francois who could grow up to four times his size and could jump out of the water to eat monkeys in the trees. We saw some turtles, Noah was the biggest, and only 8 years old. The crocodiles are very lazy and they bask in the sun for ages.
