Around the World

We have been learning about the seven continents and we wrote non-fiction books about them.  Sophia
A long time ago there were lots of canyons and there were lots of big waves and surfing.  I know this because it was in the encyclopedia .  John
In the world there are 5 oceans.  Cameron F
Asia is the biggest continent in the world. Karl
We learned that the Mississippi is the longest river in North America.  Maya
Australasia has 500 spiders. Carolina
Africa has loads of fierce animals like lions and snakes (and people like Mrs P! - not Lois' words - ha!).  Africa is also known for poverty and safaris.  Lois
In Antarctica there are lots of penguins.  It melts in the Summer and forms a different shape in the Winter.  Antarctica is never the same shape.  Nobody lives there because it is too cold.  Sophie

Maths
In maths this week we have been looking at place value and what the digits mean.  The children have all been working really hard.
