A little taster of Show and Tell this week... Brilliant Buildings (and a few stories)
Carolina brought a beautiful picture that she had drawn of St.John the Baptist Cathedral in Norwich. She told us a lot about the cathedral. Did you know that it is 133 years old?
Whilst I’m telling my story I will pass my unicorn around. Once upon a time Twilight sparkle went out and found something glowing. She picked a magical rose which sparkled over her and made her fly. A rainbow appeared. The rose stopped glowing in the morning. It only glows at night, Christmas and all the special days. Maya
There was once a little rabbit hopping through the forest. He got lost and tried his hardest to find his way home. It got dark and he found some twigs to make a home and door. He saw animals, and a bear. They went on an adventure to find their house…. If you would like to hear the end of this story, ask Lois!
Oxburgh Hall is a castle with a moat around it. There is a drawbridge too. This book has a sticker that says I’be been down the Priest’s hole at Oxburgh. If it was a long time ago, the enemies would be trying to get in. If they ever did, everyone went down a hole and shut the door. Oliver has the same Adventure scrapbook as me. Christopher
I went to Bulgaria on holiday and the plane was smoking because they put too much oil in it, so we had to land in ‘Hungary world’! Connie
Sophie brought in lots of interesting photographs of her trip to Norwich Castle. Did you know it is almost 1000 years old?

A real life dragon came to school today Mummy! Happy Chinese New Year!
Nooooo not a dragon teacher… Laura’s Bearded Dragon, Pickle! We have been learning about adjectives and the children came up with some wonderful descriptions when meeting her.
Introducing our role play areas for Brilliant Buildings… ‘Mr Rabbit’s Cottage’ (Mr Rabbit runs the family carrot and sweetie business) and ‘Happy Homes Estate Agents’ (please spread the word - the house prices are quite reasonable!).
We are interior designers… here we are at our best.
In Maths we are doing all sorts of counting! Counting in 10s and 1s from different numbers, backwards and forwards. We are also counting in 2s and 5s!
Apparently, the magical deer has been in touch with Freya. Sophie had the idea to create some artwork for him, and here we are creating all sorts of wonderful things for the deer. We hope he likes them!
A little note from Mrs Hood: all children need plimsolls in school for gymnastics.

I Simply Remember My Favourite Things...
I liked cross-country... especially when it ended, because I wanted to watch my sister run! - Connie
I liked looking for the parts of the treasure and seeing what happened with the deer. The deer's family might come to us and say thank you. -Lois
I liked it when we had some hot chocolate and marshmallows. Cameron R.
My favourite part was going to forest because we made an underground den in the woods. I also liked watching a snippet of A Midsummer Night's Dream because there was a donkey head person in it! -Cameron F
I loved swimming because I can swim underwater now and I couldn't before! The water was cold, I swam further than the flags. I felt like a mermaid. - Cerys
I went to the very end of the deep end during swimming. I tried to get one of the coloured things that go to the bottom of the swimming pool. I felt happy because it was my first time! -Carolina
I saw the reindeer this week. It was in the garden on the stairs near the nursery. In front of the dinner hall there are stairs leading up, like a magical sail trail. It looked like a camel because it was all golden. -John
I love using the ipads because they are fun. I can make time movies with lapse videos and take photos. - Christopher
School has been brilliant this week because everyone has been so kind, especially Karl. - Freya
Swimming has been the best because we swam widths and I swam 29 widths. I came 14th in the Cross Country - it was hard. - Sophia
I loved swimming because I was collecting the sinkers and felt like a mermaid. - Daisy
I liked music because it was really fun. I loved listening to the Indian song and playing the instruments. - Maya
PE because I like doing exercise and playing. Exercise makes your body faster and I like being fast. - Karl
I like Maths because we have challenges. I learned that numbers on the clock mean 5s! -Bronwyn
I liked going in the woods because I like finding creatures. -Romily
