Oh my goodness... Tom Blofeld is such a wonderful man!! We were both wowed and inspired by his storytelling and interesting chat. Excited eyes were glued to him throughout, and many fantastic questions were asked! I am so very proud of how Year 1 conducted themselves... so much to ask and say, whilst being impeccably behaved!
Tom was intrigued by the Year 1's imaginative new characters they had prepared to show him, and had a lot to say about them. Being a dad himself, he truly has a natural way with children.
We were treated to a rather exclusive (and slightly exciting) extract from Tom's latest work, a book he hasn't even published yet! The children were very interested in how his books are written, and the process from first draft to publication.
We met Mildred the lisping crocklebog, adorned in her sparkly tiara and handbag. We then finished off by giving Tom a taster of our beautiful woods.
He set a challenge for year 1, which you will be hearing more about, and has prepared an autographed prize for the winner. How exciting!!
